Lake Kivu strategically sits on the border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is the sixth largest lake in Africa. Covers more than 2,500 square km.
The Lake’s shores forms an array of destinations that are worth a visit. They include; Gisenyi, Kibuye and Cyangugu. It also lies in a tourist circuit where it’s easier to access the Volcanoes National Park and the Nyungwe Forest National Park.
