The King’s Palace entail a reconstruction of the traditional royal Rwandan residence, The Palace is a beautifully-crafted thatched structure shaped like a beehive.
In the early ages, Nyanza was the seat of power in Rwanda and a regular site for battles and power struggles.
Those days the monarchy was mobile but would eventually end up in Nyanza after transversing several locations.
Rwanda ceased to be a monarchy in 1962, when it gained independence.
